Is AI capable of creating art and how can an artist cooperate with it?

Can AI be creative and can it produce a work of art? To answer this question, we will look into a number of modern art projects and dichotomize them by the AI involvement in the creative process.

In which cases is AI a mere tool, and in which is it a co-creator? We’ll use some successful collaborations with modern artists, including Valera & Natasha Cherkashin, to showcase the particular issues of AI involvement in the creative process.

To conclude the report, we will run a short experiment, which will help each attendee to make their own judgment of how creative AI is.
