Evgeny became fascinated with programming in high school and successfully graduated from the master’s program in Computer Engineering at ITMO. His career has been rich in IT experience: he contributed to the development of the MINIX 3 operating system under the guidance of Professor Andrew Tanenbaum, and worked in a fintech startup where he improved the performance of a trading system’s platform. Later he joined Yandex, where he learned about distributed databases, and is now optimizing the YDB’s performance.

Evgeny has lectured at the Department of Computer Science at ITMO. He enjoys photography, especially aerial photography, and reading.
