Alexey is leading all of Yandex’s search technologies, the development of large language models, and the implementation of neural networks in Yandex’s services for the Russian and international markets.
Alexey joined Yandex in 2015. He contributed to the development of the Palekh and Korolyov search algorithms. Alexey also headed Geo Search and the Alice team, and coordinated the development of speech technologies, currently used, for instance, for video translation in the Browser.
In 2020, Alexey became the Head of Machine Intelligence and Research. He managed the launch of the YandexGPT large language model and a graphical generative neural network, used in the Shedevrum app.
While working at Google from 2010 to 2015, Alexey was involved in developing a platform for introducing machine learning to search.
Alexey graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. He also won second place at the ACM ICPC.
