Yandex, Head of the Computer Vision and ML Applications Department
He graduated from National Research Nuclear University MEPhI twice: in 2010 with a thesis on neural network-based adaptive behavior algorithms, and in 2011 with a paper on forecasting stock indices based on neurodynamical systems. After graduation, he worked at the Kurchatov Institute, creating mathematical models of evolution and goal-directed behavior and developing algorithms for controlling mobile robots.
In 2014, Kostya joined the computer vision department at Yandex, where he developed image-scale algorithms for training neural networks, technologies for building a shared semantic space for images and text, and natural language analysis algorithms. He worked on reverse image search and quality of image and video search. Nowadays, he leads the Computer Vision and ML Applications Department.
