Ilya Tsarev
Yandex Go, Head of Mobile Development
He got into iOS development and started his startup career while studying in institute. He built his own PIN code storing app, PIN Master (5 stars on the AppStore; thousands of active users to this day). He also partook in developing a Connected Car platform at BrightBox.
Later, he worked at Alfa Bank for four years and went from a developer to head of mobile development in a team of 50+ people. He upscaled the team (the iOS dev unit went from 2 to 30 people), built a strong HR brand, and adapted processes to a larger team.
In 2019, Ilya joined Yandex Go (known as Yandex Taxi at that time) and, in just two years, managed to triple the development team’s size. Under his leadership, fresh updates come out all the time — despite the colossal pace of change in projects.
